WeatherBug Teams with Opera’s AdMarvel to Deliver Rich-Media Ads to Millions of Smartphone Users

Germantown, MD and CTIA October 12, 2011 Earth NetworksSM, the owner of WeatherBug® and operator of the largest weather, lightning and climate observation networks, announces it is providing advertisers on its WeatherBug®  smartphone apps with new and dynamic options for distributing their cross-channel and mobile campaigns. Thanks to a new partnership with Opera Software’s AdMarvel offering, the leading provider of mobile advertising platform services, WeatherBug will soon begin running rich-media advertisements on its apps for all the latest smartphones. 

The announcement is being made in conjunction with the CTIA Enterprise & Applications show on October 11-13, 2011 in San Diego, Calif. Earth Networks will be showcasing its wide range of WeatherBug mobile apps at booth #711.

Using the software developer kits (SDK) and application programming interfaces (APIs) from AdMarvel, WeatherBug will deliver relevant and interactive ads on the free versions of its weather apps. Ads delivered and managed by the AdMarvel platform will be featured on WeatherBug mobile apps beginning this fall.
