Earth Networks - WeatherBug Promotes Michael Lombardi to Lead Advertising and Commercial Enterprise Business
New York and Germantown, MD – Earth Networks, the company known for its popular WeatherBug mobile apps, desktop apps, and website that millions trust for real-time local weather, the most accurate forecasts and the fastest alerts, is pleased to announce the promotion of Michael Lombardi to the role of senior vice president, domestic sales. In this role, Lombardi will lead the company’s Domestic Sales group, a new organization that combines the company’s consumer advertising sales and domestic commercial enterprise groups.
Lombardi has spent the past nine years with the WeatherBug brand. He first joined the company in 2005 as vice president of East Coast sales, and was promoted two years later to vice president, national sales. Prior to this new role, Lombardi served as the vice president and general manager, consumer, and was responsible for overseeing WeatherBug’s advertising sales and sales operations.

Lombardi is an established professional in the advertising industry with more than two decades of marketing and sales strategy and leadership experience in traditional and digital media. His past sales and management positions include Undertone Networks, Bonneville Corporation and Darcey & Darcey Advertising and Public Relations, Inc. In 2010, Lombardi received the ASPY "Old Timer"award, which is given to digital veterans based on their contributions and help in advancing the advertising industry.
Lombardi received a bachelor of arts in communication from Seton Hall University and a master of arts in communication from William Paterson University.
