Bill Laffey

Vice President of Support

Bill Laffey is vice president of support for Earth Networks. In this role, he is responsible for leading the international project and federal program delivery, support services, end user customer and technical support, and the logistics and field operations teams. He works closely with the entire organization to understand and manage workflow processes and serves as the SFDC administrator at Earth Networks. He has held his current position since 2008.

Laffey joined Earth Networks in 2000, when the company introduced the WeatherBug desktop application. He played a key role in building brand awareness and increasing the user base for the application, and establishing internal support processes. Additionally, he was responsible for working with outside vendors to monetize all unsold advertising inventory. Previously with the company, Laffey served as broadcast program manager, business development manager, WeatherBug media buyer, and director of sales operations. He also led the WeatherBug advertising operations team, during a period in which it was a two-time winner of the prestigious ASPY award for Customer Service. The ASPYs recognizes the best work performed by advertising media organizations.

Prior to joining Earth Networks, Laffey worked in the human resources field and was involved in employee relations, leasing, payroll, and tax services. He was responsible for leading the day-to-day operations and orienting new customers to available services and employee benefits.

Laffey is a graduate of the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C., where he studied business and human resources.
