Chief Technology Officer

Curtis Generous serves as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Vice President of Engineering at Earth Networks.  As Earth Networks’ CTO, Curtis has responsibility for the overall leadership of Earth Networks’ enterprise technology initiatives including software and hardware development and information technology.

Prior to Earth Networks, Curtis was CTO at AARP, where he had responsibility for IT operations, software development, data and network communications, Enterprise Architecture and Information Security.  In that capacity, Curtis drove technology modernization initiatives, migration to Cloud / SaaS services, which a very heavy focus on Innovation strategy.

Prior to his role at AARP, Curtis served as CTO of Navy Federal Credit Union leading the advanced technology and Enterprise Architecture groups.

Earlier in his career, Curtis was a hardware design engineer and founded his own technology firm after a successful research engagement at Lawrence Livermore National Labs.  Curtis is a graduate of Cal State University with a BS in Industrial Technology.  Also, he did advanced degree work in Electrical Engineering at Loyola and is a retired Naval Reserve Officer.
